Children's Parties

Welcome to our Kids Party workshop, where fun and education intersect with a focus on the environment. Inspired by the vibrant tradition of recycled art from the African continent, children will have the opportunity to create their own masks using salvaged everyday household packaging.

ECO MASK
WORKSHOP

WORKSHOP SUMMARY:
Our Mask making workshop is inspired by the work of Yuroba artist Romuald Hazoumè who uses salvaged materials (old jerry cans and other found objects) to tell stories.
 
Participants will view images of Hazoumès masks, choose a book from our library of environmental children’s books for Storytime, and conclude the workshop by creating their own masks from discarded everyday household packaging.
