The Nude Gallery POP-UP
Oct - Dec 2019
In 2019 Ubuntu Museum leased a disused shop on The Atlon Estate in Roehampton, South West London.
We offered free tours of The Nude Gallery and workshops to all locals including school groups and after school clubs. Over 400 locals visited our pop-up.

Lea Johnson
"Absolutely amazing how little things people don’t think about have been brought to everyone’s attention concerning things that black people have not been considered for. Before coming here, I was naïve to all this. So I think it’s great to see!"
Katey Johnson
"Very thought provoking and a great celebration of change – at last. Long may it continue!"

I love this place because I learnt so much and it makes you stop and see what people had to do to make things fair. I am 10.

What a hidden gem! And so many ideas I hadn’t even realised before in my little bubble. Hoping that this is just the start for you, Jackie and The Nude Gallery.

Very interesting exhibition! I had never thought about plaster colours before. Surprising how many daily items were not made in suitable colours for all of us.
